Wimpole Estate, 9th April 2006

On Saturday 9th April 2006 three car loads of club members set off from Croydon for a day out to visit Wimpole Estate. Wimpole is now taken care of by the National Trust and consist of a grand Hall, large formal gardens, informal landscape gardens including a gothic folly and a working farm. The day was quite cold and blustery, but the light stayed with us and there were some lovely clouds and no rain, despite the forecast to the contrary. We all enjoyed the day.
